Specialist Eyewear Consultant

Introducing Hilary, our optical maven!

She started her journey in Invercargill at the age of 15, and quickly realised optics was her true calling. She’s since been part of the evolving world of optometry, witnessing its growth in Christchurch, at Foate’s Optometrists and Lincoln Eye. Both these practices left a special mark before Anstice and Associates became her haven for 14 fulfilling years, specializing in children’s vision. The move to Nelson, supported by her family in Richmond, felt like coming home. And amid the frames and lenses, Hilary met her cheeky furry companion, Bid, who once made a snack of a spectacle frame. She’s always met with a wagging tail to welcome her home in the evenings!

Passionate about the environment, she even runs a recycling scheme outside of work. When she’s not helping our patients, you’ll find Jemima camping, paddle-boarding, or conquering nearby hills.
